During the time when someone is pursuing an education, it may be middle school or high school, mostly everyone’s focus is on studies. For this, the sports department is always ignored and doesn’t get much emphasis like the other departments.
Alex Morgan once raised concern about the U.S. Youth Soccer Model in 2019. Especially in soccer how it has become a pay-to-play model. This issue always existed but it is growing day by day and someone needs to put an end to it.

Alex Morgan is an American professional soccer player. She became the youngest member of the U.S. national soccer team in the year 2009. She made her first World Cup appearance in 2011 and even got her first gold medal in the 2012 Olympic Soccer by assisting her team in winning 2-1 against Japan. Earning a reputation at such a young age also allowed her to raise concerns about several issues.
Soccer has become business as per Alex Morgan
?Unfortunately the pay-to-play model, I believe, is getting worse in soccer than when I played competitive soccer (growing up),??Morgan?said. Morgan grew up in Diamond Bar, California. She fell in love with soccer when she was a teenager. She enjoyed all kinds of sports as a school kid and still does.?

Every organization behind any sport should focus more on raising talent rather than sucking out money from the players. The rising monetary issue isn’t a new thing. It was also there when?Alex Morgan?used to play soccer at her high school.
Giving back to the people who support me on and off the field matters. It's time we make it matter by supporting all women in sports. #makeitmatter @PlayersTribune @Sharpie pic.twitter.com/QVQ1nWimpM

Morgan said, ?It?s a very inexpensive sport and the fact that we?ve made youth soccer in the U.S. more of a business than a grassroots sport is, I think, detrimental to the growth of the sport in the U.S.?

63% of the school sports budgets are stagnant or decreasing, and 24% of the high schools don’t offer?sports. While being interested in sports, 42% of families are not able to afford the cost. This is a major issue for the future of the USWNT. Every legend was once an amateur who used to play soccer on his or her school premises. If nobody plays because of the affordability, then there won’t be any players representing the nation in the future.
More issues addressed by Morgan
The cost isn’t just a major issue. There are other issues, like discrimination. Female soccer players not only are paid less but also face harassment and death threats. And, this problem’s main root is their employers only.
It’s pretty brave of?Morgan?to address all the issues with no fear on her face. Even though she knows that this can be dangerous, she cares more about the sport and its future than her own.
(1/3)The league was informed of these allegations multiple times and refused multiple times to investigate the allegations. The league must accept responsibility for a process that failed to protect its own players from this abuse. https://t.co/KDRBhhVBcT

Misogyny is pretty common everywhere. This has even led to the downfall of a lot of female players, both physically and mentally. The way Alex Morgan stands up for the helpless is a symbol of a true legend that would be inspiring the future generation for a long time.
