Carli Lloyd has been the backbone of the US women’s national team for a long time. The team is forever indebted for her remarkable contribution over the years that has established USWNT as a dominant force in the soccer world. The champion retired from international soccer after winning bronze in the 2020 Summer Olympics. However, she is still cheering for the team, but in a new role.

The four-times US Olympian Carli Lloyd has led an incredible career. She has been part of the USWNT in two Olympic victories, and two FIFA world cup titles and the 39-year-old soccer player has even won two FIFA player of the year titles during her magnificent career.

Carli Lloyd in a new role

While her glorious days with USWNT are over, the legend is excited about her new role as an analyst. Recently, Carli posted on her Twitter handle about her debut as an analyst for the USWNT VS Uzbekistan friendly encounter on Saturday, at Subaru Park, Pennsylvania.

She wrote, Excited to announce I’ll be in-studio with @FOXSports this Saturday for my analyst debut! Look forward to discussing all things  @USWNT and their friendly vs. Uzbekistan with everyone watching at home starting at 5 PM ET on FOX.”

Looking at USWNT from outside

USWNT is a team that Carli Lloyd has helped define over the years. It has been an amazing journey for her, during which she witnessed every phase, good and bad, with the team. However, looking at the team from an analyst’s view will be a completely new challenge for the soccer legend.
