Megan Rapinoe has been relentless in her fight to end gender discrimination. In the process of achieving her goals, she has inspired a lot of people. She inspired The First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, by her efforts to end gender discrimination and achieve equal pay for all players.

During the covid lockdown, Megan Rapinoe, organized an Instagram live session with President Biden and his wife, Jill Biden. They spoke about a variety of topics in the session. In the live session, The First lady, Dr. Jill Biden told Rapinoe that she had copied her look and dyed her purple in solidarity with pay equity. “And you don’t have purple hair anymore?” the First Lady asked Rapinoe, as she was startled that Megan had changed her hair color again.

Rapinoe then replied by saying,” Honey, this hair is like two months into covid, it is doing its own thing and it has its mind.” Rapinoe is known for her fashion sense and her charming personality. The First Lady joked about the dye and hoped that the color would wash out.

Megan’s fight for equality

Megan Rapinoe is very famous for her activism. Her no-nonsense attitude separates her from all her peers. Lately, she has been relentless in her effort to end gender discrimination in sports. Megan believes that through her activism she can motivate other influential people to speak up for justice. The positive impact that she has on society is immense.

Megan along with her teammates sued the US Soccer Federation because of the gender-based pay disparity. She alleged that they were not adequately compensated for their extraordinary performances which exceeded the Men’s team’s accomplishments as well. However, her fight is still underway. But the impact and awareness that she created in society regarding such issues are massive.
