Ten youngsters, including Sunnah and Joe, encountered treacherous waves. Despite being airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, both children sadly succumbed to their injuries. The funeral for Sunnah Khan at High Wycombe Mosque in her hometown of Buckinghamshire drew a remarkable gathering of over 200 individuals. This unique turnout is a testament to the profound impact Sunnah had on the lives of those around her.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday, claiming the life of a 17-year-old boy from Southampton. He was pulled from the sea and, despite the best efforts of emergency services, tragically passed away in the hospital. Dorset Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this heart-wrenching event. The incident occurred shortly after 4.30 pm. Fortunately, eight other swimmers were rescued and received necessary treatment on the beach. Initial statements from the police ruled out any physical contact with a jet ski or boat. Meanwhile, a man in his 40s, who was present in the water during the incident, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He has since been released, but inquiries are ongoing.
