US track superstar Sha’Carri Richardson has always been an outspoken personality. She has often raised her voice against anything and everything that bothered her state of mind, and this time it’s the US Supreme Court’s decision that has made her angry. Along with several other US sports figures, including Megan Rapinoe and LeBron James, the 22-year-old track athlete shared her distress over the court’s ruling.

Sha’Carri Richardson rose to fame with her extraordinary performance in the US trials for the Tokyo Olympics. She clocked a record time of 10.86 seconds in 100 m to win her ticket for the Olympics. In fact, she was one of the favorites to win the gold medal. However, because of a positive drug test, she received one month’s suspension and her Olympic dream was shattered to pieces.

Sha’Carri Richardson slams Supreme Court’s decision

The US track superstar shared her dismay after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, which guaranteed a woman?s constitutional right to abortion. Sha’Carri wrote on her Twitter handle, “Why would I want to represent a country that has no respect for their women the only reason that all of them that make these ?laws? exist ?!!!”

Sha’Carri has always been quite vocal about things that bother her, and this was definitely something that affected her to the core.

Previously, she has slammed various sporting organizations for their mistreatment of the athletes as well.

A widespread outrage

However, Sha’Carri was not the only one condemning the court’s ruling. NBA G.O.A.T. LeBron James and USWNT soccer legend Megan Rapinoe also voiced their concerns about the decision. ?I think the cruelty is the point because this is not pro-life by any means,? said Rapinoe while she couldn’t hold her tears.

While in the light of the same, LeBron James said, “It?s ABSOLUTELY ABOUT POWER & CONTROL!!”?
