Jordan Burroughs is finally ready to wipe away the tears from his face. His heart-wrenching grief stemmed from the Final X, where, for the first time in a decade, he could not clinch the ticket for the world wrestling championship. The six-time world wrestling champion is now ready to embrace the rigors of the sport with renewed zeal and found unexpected support from a media giant.

Jordan Burroughs’ unforeseen honor

Jordan Burroughs was excited by the new career opportunity and tweeted about it, saying, “On November 26th I get to be part of history!” However, ESPN had a rather unusual surprise in store for him. As the color commentator, Jordan Burroughs served his duty well and explained the nuances of the performances on the mat. Surprisingly, ESPN suddenly flipped the table and put Jordan Burroughs under the limelight. He was taken aback by the kind gesture and expressed his gratitude in an Instagram post. Jordan Burroughs uploaded a carousel of photos on his ‘All I Can See Is Gold’ Academy’s official Instagram page. He captioned these photos, saying, “Successful trip to the Midwest. I got to call one of the most storied wrestling rivalries ever on @espn in front of 14,000 fans… Man I love this sport”.

He was part of a remarkable squad comprising Shawn Kenny for the live commentary, Quint Kessenich for the matside analysis, Jim Gibbons and himself for the color commentary. They amped up the crowded arena in Ames for the Iowa vs. Iowa State wrestling showdown. However, the occasion became even more special for him because his son was present to see him in all his glory.
