Reigning Wrestling World Champion David Taylor Joins Celebration as Nittany Lions Soccer Secures a Thrilling Victory to Reach Big10 Finals

Penn State men’s soccer has left Ohio State behind to step into the finals of the Big Ten tournament. Ohio State was awarded a penalty in the first three minutes of the game. The Buckeyes took a one-up lead when Laurence Wootton put the ball into the nets effortlessly. Samson Kpardeh put the ball through the goalkeeper into the goal in the fourth minute to tie the score for Penn State.

The second half was a possession-domination game by Penn State. By the time was up, both the teams were tied at 1-1. The game went into overtime with no results leading to the penalties. Penn State’s Shakes came out as the hero as he made two saves, including the game-winning save that put Ohio State in the dust behind. This fabulous win has left one of the Penn State alums, David Taylor, overjoyed, as he took to social media to share the happiness.

The Magicman of PSU was elated by the performance of the Penn State Soccer team. As the team made it into the finals, David Taylor was excited to share the news of the victory in his Instagram story and wrote “Let’s go”. A champion wrestler appreciates the team that is on their way to becoming a champion. The post also mentioned the scoreline of the match writing, “Men’s soccer beats Ohio State 4-3 in penalties to go to B1G title match on Sunday at noon against Indiana.”

The proud Nittany Lion David Taylor himself has brought great laurels to Penn State. Qualifying for an important final must have brought back memories for the wrestler, who is now about to represent the nation and Penn State on the most glorious global platform. Penn State men’s soccer just has one more challenge to go before they can be hailed as the champion.

The Nittany Lions will face the winner of the Indiana vs Michigan game on Sunday 12 November. One takeaway of the game was Penn State picking up the game in the second half. Shakes coming through and saving the team was one highlight of the game. The constant substitution was an important strategy to remain fresh and active in the field and keep the momentum.
