For AAA games, such as GTA, physics are crucial. Players trust that the developer or publisher will include realistic physics in open-world games. While fans have long disputed and continue to debate Grand Theft Auto 5’s physics, GTA 4’s mechanics were exceptional. Since it has been so long since the last installment of the popular series, the publisher is going all out for GTA 6, which is based in the city of Miami. And what’s a local favorite in the city? Surfing.

Due to its enormous budget of $2,000,000,000, Rockstar is upgrading its RAGE game engine significantly. According to the most recent online reports, the developers have recruited a team of 20 engineers to implement realistic wave dynamics in GTA 6’s oceans. As the waterways of GTA 5, where we may enjoy jetskis and a variety of boats, lack a specific wave physics system, the publisher’s decision to include it in the new installment, is extremely novel. This will be a game-changer for surfers everywhere, allowing them to indulge their passion from the comfort of their own homes via the revolutionary medium of virtual surfing.

Nearly $265 million was spent by Rockstar Games on the development and promotion of Grand Theft Auto 5. As a result, it set a record for the most money spent on a video game at the time. There has been much speculation about the publisher’s future since 2022, when they failed to produce any Grand Theft Auto games. Many worried that this meant Grand Theft Auto V would be the final game in the series. However, leaks turned out to be a breath of relief for GTA fans when they saw some alpha gameplay videos from GTA 6.

Rockstar Games released a statement addressing the leaks, saying that they were indeed from Grand Theft Auto 6, but that the footage was from a very early build of the game. According to rumors, Rockstar Games has been working on Grand Theft Auto 6 since 2014, and they want to spare no effort in releasing the game for which fans have waited so long. The enormous earnings of Grand Theft Auto 5, estimated at $7,700,000,000, have prompted the publisher to put $2,000,000,000 into the development of their next and most anticipated installment.
