You wouldn’t want to run into a wild mountain goat while out hiking or rock climbing, would you? Well, this Dutch female tourist’s good fortune ran out while she was hiking in the Alpujarra hills outside of Granada, Spain. After the three hikers crossed into the mountain goat area, one of the goats attacked the group, knocking out one of the tourists before pushing her over the edge.

The angry ibex lunged at the 64-year-old visitor and shoved her down the cliff’s edge. As a result, she fell 65 feet before she hit an overhanging ledge. In a potentially deadly occurrence, the unidentified Dutch lady fractured both of her wrists. In addition, the visitor was accompanied by two Belgian hikers, one of whom was knocked unconscious and so became the mountain goat’s next victim.

Thankfully, a local shepherd reportedly came across the hikers, who were eventually transported to a nearby hospital via a rescue helicopter. Bad weather forced rescuers to delay their search for the Dutch hiker, who was found eventually. Since the weather prevented the rescue helicopter from transporting her to the hospital, she spent the night in a derelict farmhouse. She was airlifted to the nearest hospital first thing the following morning, where she received care for hypothermia and two broken wrists.
