“You could say that I’m not smiling out there on the pitch, unless we’re scoring goals,” Trinity Rodman once said about what brings her the most joy when she’s going about her business. But even when she’s not scoring goals, the Washington Spirit star can be a thrill to watch, helping her teammates find the back of the net. Inventor of the “Trin Spin”, Rodman now has a special treat for her fans.

Quite easily, Trinity is one of the most popular USWNT stars among the fans. As her on-pitch accolades’ list grew in length, so did the interest in her doings off the soccer pitch. And now, in a special revelation, the 23-year-old announced how the fans can keep up with her life beyond the realms of soccer. In an Instagram story from October 13, captioned, “What you guys have all been waiting for,” Rodman unveiled her newly launched YouTube channel.

And thus, her vlogging journey begins! “Go watch! YouTube Trin is in business,” the women’s national team forward urged the fans to hop over to the platform and get to know her better, sharing a screenshot of her YT account. While the channel currently has only one video, that too of her life and morning routine, over 3,000 loyal Trinity Rodman fans can be seen to have already subscribed!

Well, Trin really does deserve some extra happiness. After all, life hasn’t been easy for her of late. Winning the 2024 Olympic gold in Paris was definitely a high point in Rodman’s career. However, just months after that, the Newport Beach, California, native faced a tough ordeal. In April, she departed the Spirit camp to tend to her back injury with doctors in London. While she kept the fans updated on her progress, her loyalists couldn’t wait for her to overcome the setback and get back to NWSL action.

As she recovered from the unease, Rodman assured her followers that the speed bump wouldn’t affect her skills with the ball. “I’m still gonna be Trin…I’m still gonna be intense, and I’m still gonna give it 100% all the time,” she said, while also underscoring that she needed to be more cautious about tackles and handle situations smartly in the future.

The much-awaited moment finally happened in August, when Rodman laced up once again as Washington took on the Portland Thorns. “Can’t wait to be back at rowdy Audi babyyyy,” she wrote on social media before her big comeback match. And surely enough, it didn’t take long for Trinity to show her worth for all to witness. The thunderous forward scored a goal upon return to the pitch, her first since September 2024, to bring the Spirit a 2-1 win over the Thorns. Obviously, it was an emotional moment.

“Being back, with the whole stadium and crowd behind me, scoring a goal like that… you saw I buried it…I’m gonna miss it. So yeah, I’m just really happy to be back. I missed the team, I missed doing what I love,” Rodman noted her elation after a successful comeback. But she did have plenty of things to keep her occupied during her road to recovery.

Despite hiccups, Trinity Rodman found reasons to be happy about

The biggest highlight of Trin’s 2025 so far would definitely be her going public with her relationship with tennis star Ben Shelton. The pair’s announcement saw an outpour of love and support from both the soccer and tennis communities, and Rodman soon became a regular feature in the stands cheering for Shelton. From the Wimbledon to the US Open, there have been few tennis tournaments this year where Shelton competed and his NWSL bae wasn’t there to rally behind his campaign.

The 23-year-old wasn’t shy to give back the love he got. In August, when Rodman and Adidas joined hands for a collab, Shelton was quick to bestow the title of the GOAT of his heart to the Spirit star on social media. Their public display of affection (that’s PDA for the younger fans!) won hearts. But Shelton wasn’t the only dedicating his time to Trinity this year!

In January, singer-songwriter Adam Pastel dropped a special music video, named after Trinity Rodman. The “Worth watching like Trinity Rodman,” chorus became like a chant among her fans, who couldn’t stop gushing about how the song captured her energy perfectly. Quite the gift to receive as a new year present. The song went viral on YouTube, and Rodman’s new channel could be the perfect follow-up!
