The Nepalese team showed immense promise in the qualifying tournament of the World T20 last time in Bangladesh, and eye an improved show this time around. As part of the 15 day camp, the Earthquake affected Nepal team is training in Dhramshala led by their skipper Paras Khade and the Sri Lankan coach Pubudu Dassanayake.

It is also noted that former Indian office Venkatapathy Raju too is set to guide the spinners to keep them in good stead for the upcoming World T20 qualifiers in Ireland and Scotland.

The Coach Dassanayake expressed his interest in working with Mr. Raju and added that it would only make the team with a heavy arsenal of spinners better. He also said that Monty Desai too would pay a visit and share a word or two on adapting to the conditions in the UK. Mr. Raju had earlier worked with the UAE and Thailand teams as a development officer of the Asian Cricket council.

Mr. Dassanayake also added that the contingent is keen and is looking forward to having a productive 15 days ahead as BCCI is doing its bit to help its neighbouring nation’s cricket team.
