Pakistani opener Ahmed Shehzad’s career best of 176 came to a very abrupt rather tragic end in Abu Dhabi today.

Ahmed Shehzad, trying to pull a Corey Anderson bouncer was beaten by the slowness of the delivery. He was hit on the side of the skull and immediately went down. In the process, his bat came out from his hands and fell at the stumps and he was ruled out hit wicket.

The bowler and the keeper stopped the celebrations and immediately went to the batsmen to help him out. He has been diagnosed with a minor skull fracture and will require at least 48 hours to recover from the pain. Update are awaited on his injury.

The whole of Pakistan will hope it’s not a serious one and we see Shehzad back on the field again.
