However, today we mourn the passing of a true luminary whose story is not only inspirational but unforgettable. Nikki McCray-Penson, a legendary figure in the sport, has left an irreplaceable void as we bid her farewell at the age of 51.
A star and an inspiration for women
According to reports, McCray-Penson was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and had pneumonia in the past few days. It’s believed she died from possible complications of the disease and her death was announced by Rutgers University on Friday.
