The Mooney VR46 Racing Team has stirred up the biking community. They have recently announced the latest addition to their team for the season of 2024. It is none other than the 25-year-old Italian racer, Fabio Giannantonio. This was one of the significant signings of the year, with VR46 looking to strengthen their team further. The team also boasts of icons like Marco Bezzecchi, with whom the Italian will be sharing the garage.

The year has been a remarkable one for Giannantonio. His most notable triumph came when he came from behind in the Qatar Grand Prix to clinch the victory. Interestingly, the Italian’s win was kind of anti-climactic, as people expected either Pecco Bagnaia or Jorge Martin to win the race. Although Bagnaia was in the lead for most of the race, it was the Italian who kept his cool and whizzed past the favorite to win the gold. Such a gritty display caught the attention of the entire community, and this recent deal is surely a reflection of the same.

He also reflected on his past seasons and stated that he has matured as a rider and has come a long way when it comes to temperament.

Elaborating further, the 25-year-old said, In the last two seasons in MotoGP, I have grown a lot and in this team I will certainly be able to mature further and achieve great results. I’m excited, I can’t wait to meet all my new staff and crew and start working on the track. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.”
