Duchess of York determined to triumph over cancer
Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrews was shocked when she found out about her breast cancer. Talking about her journey post-diagnosis, Ferguson appeared for an interview with People recently. The 63-year-old stated that her daughters are playing a significant part in her journey with their unconditional support.
Ferguson said, “My two wonderful daughters are my wholehearted cheerleaders, my devoted champions and my soulmates, and they have been as supportive as can be, as they always are.” The 63-year-old also pointed out that not only her daughters, but her grandchildren too, has been supporting her with all the love since her diagnosis.
After being diagnosed with the deadly disease, the Duchess of York went for a mastectomy surgery in June. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and Ferguson hopes to make a full recovery soon. Interestingly, Ferguson has decided to preach about the importance of screening and spread awareness about ways one can prevent cancer.

Sarah Ferguson advocates regular screening for females
Taking a leaf out of her book, Ferguson has joined Loose Women as a panelist. She was spotted at a ‘Don’t Skip Your Screening’ campaign, where the Duchess doubled down on the significance of taking mammogram appointments. Ferguson cited her own example and stated that if she ignored her screening, her cancer would not have been detected so early.
Ferguson is also expected to collaborate with the V Foundation Scientific Advisory Committee to support cancer survivors and patients. She has recently raised over $500,000 for the cause at an event in Napa.
