According to a spokesperson for Skydive Mount Cook, the camera operator was engaged in a routine jump as a camera flyer, a role that involves capturing the exhilarating moments of skydivers. Their swift response included an ambulance and a helicopter, which arrived at the scene to assess the injured individual’s condition. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, they decided to airlift the patient to Christchurch Hospital.
