The incident occurred on Swallow Drive in Pukaki. The information was transferred to the St John emergency services at approximately 5:56 p.m. on October 17. Their swift response included an ambulance and a helicopter, which arrived at the scene to assess the injured individual’s condition. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, they decided to airlift the patient to Christchurch Hospital.
