Almost two weeks ago, Marvel’s Avengers took down Galactus in the Nexus War finale of Fortnite. This marked the beginning of Season 5 of Epic’s battle royale game. The fresh season, dubbed ‘Zero Point’, introduced a lot of new characters to the game. Players can find various new NPCs all across the map.

The season also introduced blinking shards and all new kinds of fishes and weapons. Therefore, it is time for fresh tips and tricks so players can dominate their lobbies and rake up wins. Moreover, at the end of this list, there is a trick to start every game with a legendary heavy AR and an epic RPG.

Fortnite Season 5 tips for high loot and gold bars

The first tip involves the all-new Dragon’s Breathing Shotgun. The shotgun sets fire to everything it touches. Therefore, in addition to bringing down builds faster or inflicting sustaining damage on players, it has other advantages as well. Players can use it to light campfires without wasting any materials and heal up, especially in late game.

The second tip includes Epic’s new in-game currency, the gold bars. Players can earn these bars by completing quests or hunting bounties. The bars help them purchase materials or items from NPCs. However, they are not as easy to come by.

A smart way to start the game with a few is to land close to an NPC (you can find a map of all the NPCs here), and take up a bounty. Since almost a third of the lobby gets eliminated in the first few minutes, there is a high chance that another player poaches the bounty. Regardless of who does eliminates the bounty, the players who took it from the NPC get gold bars as payment.

Another way of getting gold bars and loot similar to epic chests are cash registers. There are a few cash registers all around the map. Starting Season 5, these cash registers also drop loot after a player destroys them. Often this includes a gold bar as well as a lot of rare items.

Easy blinking plays and a way to start every game with gold AK

The Zero Point shards are one of the most useful consumables in the game as of now. Players can use them to block around the map for short distances, However, they can also use these shards for some 200IQ plays that will certainly surprise their enemies.

Firstly, players can use them to get into the enemy builds with an element of surprise. One can destroy a wall put up by an enemy and use the shard to blink at that very moment. If done right, it allows them to enter builds before the enemy can put down another wall. So, while the enemy is busy putting down a wall, players can easily take them down.

Zero Point shards are responsible for another nasty trick in Fortnite. Players can use these shards to phase in and out of doors and windows. However, to this, they need to switch on the ‘auto-open’ doors option.

The best trick of this new season is available in the Factory. Unlike all other NPCs, the one in the Factory is not a friend. Instead, it starts shooting as soon as a player comes into its line of sight. However, if a player eliminates that NPC, it drops a legendary heavy AR as well as an epic RPG. This can act as a massive boost for players at the start of their game.
