Jofra Archer and his bouncer has been in the news since the Ashes series. After knocking out Steve Smith with one of the deadly bouncers, Archer bowled another one to New Zealand captain Kane Williamson during the second Test.
Sharing a picture of a Jofra Archer bouncer that Kane Williamson barely ducks away, Rajasthan Royals wrote “Too close for comfort, Kane?” It was indeed a close call where Williamson was seen down on his knees and bending backwards with the ball just passed away just inches from his helmet.

In the Ashes series earlier this year, Jofra Archer’s bouncer led Steve Smith out of the field for sometimes. Even the incident saw to the Test cricket’s first-ever concussion substitute as well. Due to that, Steve Smith was ruled out of action in the third Ashes Test in Leeds even after missing the second Test due to a delayed concussion too.

As far as the recent Test is concerned, Kane Williamson was not affected much by the bouncer and later he scored his 21st Test century as the rain-affected match which has ended in a draw. With this, New Zealand registered a 1-0 series win over England. Along with him, Ross Taylor too scored a century.
Archer joined the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the Indian Premier League in 2018 and has impressed with the ball in the last two years. In the 2018 edition of the IPL, he scalped 15 wickets in 11 matches whereas in 2019, he picked up 11 wickets in as many matches.
Archer has been retained by the Rajasthan Royals franchise for the upcoming season of the IPL and expected to do the same next year as well. The IPL 2020 auction is scheduled to begin in Kolkata on December 6 where all the team will try to buy the best of players to make the core team for the upcoming mega event.
