WATCH: Olivier Vernon Punches Jimmy Garoppolo on the Field During the Game

During Monday’s game between Cleveland Browns and San Fransisco 49ers, Browns defensive end Olivier Vernon seemed to punch Jimmy Garoppolo on the field of play.

In the first quarter of play, Garoppolo was seen attempting to throw a block on an end-around in the first quarter of the game, with Vernon attempting to track down the ball carrier. However, rather than just running through him, Vernon punched Garoppolo in the face. With no penalty called on play, Vernon might have thought he had got away with one, but the he could not escape the eyes of social media.

With the video looking clear enough, Vernon is likely to be hearing from the league in the form of a fine in the coming week.

Though this incident might have went unnoticed, the match had a few more scenes that would never go unnoticed. During the match where the Browns were trashed 31-3, their quarterback Baker Mayfield got trashed in another way. 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa mocked Mayfield by imitating a celebration that Mayfield had done during his college days. The flag post celebration!
