India have been playing the first Test against Bangladesh where once again Ravichandran Ashwin came in the news when he castled Mominul Haque. During the first day of the first Test of the ongoing Bangladesh’s tour of India in Indore, India’s veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque and provided a much-needed breakthrough by breaking the 68-run partnership and bring back India into the game.

It took place on the first ball of the 38th over when Haque misjudged the delivery from Ashwin. He was expecting the ball will turn away from him after sliding but he found the ball was coming back into him and also it hitting the stumps eventually at the end.

While coming in to bat at No. 3 in the sixth over, Haque played well for his 37 (80) with the help of six fours. Just when it seemed that Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque and batsman Mushfiqur Rahim tried to steady the ship. However, Ravichandran Ashwin did it for India.

However, had India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane would grab the catch and wicket-keeper, Wriddhiman Saha, too as well, Ashwin would have got his first wicket very earlier. It was Haque who won the toss and elected to bat first earlier in the day.

While batting, India too lost their in-form opener, Rohit Sharma, for mere 6. On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin has been in the news for the trading of IPL 2020. He is all set to move to Delhi Capitals for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) even though KXIP co-owner Ness Wadia had earlier denied the news as rumours.

“Yes, Ashwin is joining Delhi Capitals. The deal had earlier fell through as KXIP didn’t get the two DC players that they wanted in a trade-off with Ashwin. Now they are getting those two players and it’s 99 percent done,” a senior BCCI official said to PTI on conditions of anonymity.
