India captain Virat Kohli and former England wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Taylor both are famous in their genre as well as have a huge fan base. However, the former once wanted to meet Taylor and her teammate has revealed the moment when the Indian captain met with them.

Sarah Taylor has recently announced her retirement from Cricket after having 13 years of cricketing career. She is considered as one of the greatest wicketkeepers to have played the game around the world. Unfortunately, she called it quit on her career for her anxiety issue which she has been suffering for the last couple of years.

Sarah Taylor has amassed 6533 runs across formats in her career with a good average and strike rates. It was her lightning-quick work behind the wicket that made her such a recognisable name in the sport. She was even praised by legendary keeper Adam Gilchrist, who referred to her as the “the best wicketkeeper in the world at the moment – male or female.”

However, later it was revealed that not only Adam Gilchrist who was amazed at Sarah Taylor’s skills but Indian captain Virat Kohli also, who wanted to meet her 5 years back. Sarah Taylor’s ex-teammate Kate Cross has now revealed that Virat Kohli had wanted to meet the legendary keeper back in 2014. She recently revealed this on twitter when she shared an old picture of them with Virat Kohli with the caption, “5 years ago since @imVkohli wanted to meet you @Sarah_Taylor30!!.”

And, Sarah Taylor would then reply: “One of the more bizarre wake-up calls I’ve ever had. #5ambreakfast.”

Virat Kohli, on the other hand, has come a long way in the past five years. He has evolved as one of the best batsmen in recent times. However, Kohli’s gesture towards her fellow cricketer is really admirable and speaks for his good nature as well.
