Arsenal has had their share of defensive problems this season and they have received a boost in their reported pursuit of William Carvalho, who has outlined his desire to play in the Premier League.
The Portugal international, who represented his country at the World Cup last summer, was the subject of a £20 million bid from Arsenal after the tournament which was rejected.
Multiple teams are now keen on securing his signature in January but Carvalho is happy to wait and find out if anything develops.
“My dream is to play in England. I know some clubs are interested but my agent, Jorge, is looking after it and I am relaxed.” said Carvalho.
The 22-year-old has helped Sporting to third in the Portuguese top flight so far this season, 10 points behind league leaders Benfica.
