It’s Day 2 of the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and the tournament has kickstarted on a great note. There were some interesting matches on the first day and things will get more alluring as the tournament progresses. On Day 2, we have legends Roger Federer and Serena Williams in action.

In tomorrow’s schedule, Swiss ace Roger Federer will be up against Adrian Mannarino. However, the Swiss ace has been in shaky form and the first couple of rounds will be crucial. Nonetheless, he should overcome that battle by giving the Swiss ace and his history at the All England Club.

Seven-time champion Serena Williams will feature too 

Next up, we have Serena Williams against Aliaksandra Sasnovich. She is the most successful player at the Wimbledon Championships amongst a current lot of players. Therefore, she should see through this early challenge in her journey if she has to win her 24th Grand Slam title.

World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty will open proceedings on Center Court tomorrow. She will be facing Spanish player Carla Suarez Navarro in what promises to be an exciting battle. Going by current form, the Australian athlete should see through this obstacle. 

Tough test for Daniil Medvedev in Round 1

Interestingly, Daniil Medvedev will be facing Jan-Lennard Struff. A few weeks ago these players met in Halle and it was the German player who caused an upset by beating the Russian player. However, Medvedev has shown a different level of consistency while performing at the Majors this season. He should overcome this challenge ahead of him tomorrow.

Nick Kyrgios to play for the first time in four months

Australian player Nick Kyrgios will be facing Frenchman Ugo Humbert. This is Kyrgios’ first tournament since the Australian Open 2021. Interestingly, he faced Humbert in Melbourne and won the match in five sets. He should earn a similar result as he did earlier in this contest. Although, this match will be a thriller. 

Another interesting matchup is Grigor Dimitrov versus Fernando Verdasco. The last couple of meetings have gone in the favor of the Bulgarian player. Although they have never played on grass, one can expect a tricky contest. Dimitrov should win this contest and it can go the distance. 

All these matches are scheduled to take place tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how these matches unfold. Nonetheless, fans will witness top-quality tennis on Day 2 at the Championships.
