When two teams meet, it is often just a matter of how they play on the day. After all, it would be difficult to imagine the top team completely dominating each other on a regular basis but sometimes this can happen and one team just cannot get a win against a particular team. Here is a compilation of some of those unexpected results in IPL that will surprise any cricket fan.

Total matches played till date: 21 The overall Win-loss record for MI vs KKR: MI won 16 out of these 21 games (76.20%) and while KKR won just 5 matches (23.80%). KKR faced Mumbai Indians three times in IPL 2017 itself but lost all three matches including the qualifier match.

Total matches played till date: 21 The overall Win-loss record for KKR vs KXIP: KKR won 13 out of these 21 games (61.90%) and while KXIP won 8 matches (38.10%). KKR faced KXIP two times in IPL 2017. Total matches played till date: 6 The overall Win-loss record for RPS vs MI: RPS won 4 out of these 6 games (66.66%) and while MI won just 2 matches (33.33%). Mumbai Indians may look in a rut against RPS but they had the last laugh by winning the IPL final, where it really counted. This year RPS defeated MI three times including Qualifier 1 but when they met for the 4th time in the final, MI won the match by one run to claim the title.
