Did someone just misspell the 18-time Grand Slam champion Chris Evert‘s name? How did that happen? How did the Tennis player react to it? Evert recently highlighted a tweet in which a renowned sportswriter misspelled her name.
The unfortunate demise of the soccer legend Pele crushed the sporting world. On Twitter, fans shared a variety of tales featuring the legendary soccer player, while sharing their condolences. Following the tragic news, a 1999 picture, with Pele and other sports stars, is making the rounds online. Chris Evert was in it as well.

The retired American tennis legend is quite active on Twitter and likes to reminisce about her tennis journey. A few days back when the picture of the legendary sporting icons was surfing around the internet. Evert took to her account to share the complete picture from the event, where she was accompanied by Billie Jean King and other legends like Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.

Before sharing the complete picture, the Hall of Famer commented on an incomplete picture sharing that she still cherishes this picture and it’s there, hung up on her wall. Over that post, the 64 years old American sportswriter, Rick Reilly, commented, “This photo is real. I was standing there. Michael was sitting on a stool. The weird lighting is caused by the reflection of Christie’s white shirt as she takes a pic of it on her wall.”

The famous American writer might have done a little mistake by typing the Tennis legend’s name wrong. To that comment, the former world number one replied and corrected Rick Reilly’s error.
She wrote, “Omg… it was a Sports Illustrated gathering of athletes!! The picture is hanging in my office, hence the glare, and my name is Chrissie, not Christie!!!!!.”
In a similar incident, the ‘Ice Maiden’ and her arch-nemesis-turned good friend, Martina Navratilova, once bashed a broadcaster.

Back when Evert and Navratilova both trolled a reporter
When Roger Federer overcame Marin Cilic and won his final Wimbledon championship in 2017, the Croatian tennis player broke down in tears. After the significant competition, a photo of him crying quickly went viral. Subsequently, Cilic was made mocked by British broadcaster Piers Morgan for acting like a baby.

Martina Navratilova, the 59-time Grand Slam winner, defended the tennis player and criticized the broadcaster’s poor reasoning. Morgan continued to argue his case despite the tennis player’s explanation. However, after this, Evert also came up with a comment slamming the broadcaster’s opinion. And wrote, “What a jerky thing to say….”
Along with the tennis legends, fans were also not happy with Morgan’s comments.
