As she makes a comeback to tennis, Naomi Osaka is also partnering up with the LPGA  in its endeavor to make its athletes household names this year. With the aim to benefit female golfers improve their reach in the sporting world, Osaka’s company Hana Kuma will lead the charge. Having long been involved in the upliftment of female athletes and social changes, this brainchild of Osaka and her longtime agent Stuart Duguid will take on another new venture.

LPGA is actively looking to associate with female audiences as well as entertainment idols. Osaka has expressed her delight to be associated with golf in this capacity and aims to have a positive impact, building on the trust and support she has received in her career so far.

Naomi Osaka Says She Received “Love And Support” From Female Athletes

Osaka stated her intentions on her creative media agency, Hana Kuma being engaged with LPGA. The Japanese tennis star said she has received “love and support” from female athletes throughout her career. Osaka further expounded that she hopes to help “empower and champion the LPGA players, providing the tools and resources necessary for them to invest in themselves and build a future beyond their sport.”

Hana Kuma will help the LPGA with content creation and brand development for eight of its players. After a multistep application process, open to all the golfers on the LPGA tour, eight will be selected. This will be done via a mutual decision between the LPGA Tour, the golfers, and their teams.

Osaka’s Hana Kuma is also planning a one-day crash course in branding and social media for every golfer on tour. The serial entrepreneur has supported female athletes and used her voice as a social justice advocate many times before.

Naomi Osaka Is Devoted To Social Justice Advocacy

Osaka has been engaged in having a positive impact on young girls through her Naomi Osaka Play Academy. Additionally, she also co-founded the talent agency Evolve, with her long-time agent Stuart Duguid. The company aims to push fellow athletes to greater heights. “Evolve represents the evolution of not just my business career, but also the way athletes can control their destiny,” Osaka said in a statement.
