Naomi Osaka might be finally breathing a sigh of relief after getting to know about the probability of getting off the hook in a major lawsuit. After being the global ambassador of FTX, a disgraced cryptocurrency firm, she became the target of an $11 billion class-action lawsuit. However, along with Shaquille O’Neal, now Osaka seems to be coming under scrutiny again because of a bizarre instance that is somehow not connecting the dots for many.

The narrative of the court and Osaka’s partner are not matching up and this is creating quite some noise.

Earlier, Osaka and O’Neal were in the safe after it looked like the court ruled in favor of letting both global superstars off the hook. After the fall of FTX, the company and its ambassadors came under the spectrum of an $11 billion lawsuit filed against them. And it was not sure if the two had been included in the lawsuit.

Now, the contention that comes into the picture is that the court claims it has served the notice, but the partner of Osaka is denying it. As reported by the Athletic, the plaintiff noted, “Naomi Osaka attempted three times. No answer. On two attempts, the gate was closed. On one attempt, the gate was open. There was a black Tesla. No answer at the door.” That means the player wasn’t in the location, and this has become a point of debate.

On the other hand, her partner, Stuart Duguid, stated that she has “never been served and doesn’t have a Tesla … Suspect they have been going to her old address.” The legal drama around FTX has raised questions about Osaka’s disappearance.

Osaka loses a huge amount of fortune over the FTX drama

The Japanese player became the brand ambassador of the cryptocurrency firm in 2022. She envisioned her role in the firm as more than just a monetary one. She hoped it would empower women to be a part of the cryptocurrency world and increase their participation in it. And therefore, she was to get paid in cryptocurrency, but now that is a distant dream as she finds herself in a messy situation.
