Jessica Pegula is currently not in the best position of her life. Although she still finds herself at rank 4, she has not won much in the singles tour this season. However, things are looking up for the American player on the personal side of life. Her mother, who was bed ridden last year, has recovered to a great extent.

Pegula first revealed the hardships of her family in a note in February. In players tribune, she talked about how her mother’s health suddenly deteriorated due to a heart attack. Fortunately, she showed good signs of recovery. Now, Kim Pegula doesn’t want her daughter to stick by her bed and instead focus on improving her game.

An unfortunate incidence of cardiac arrest last year led to the worsening health of the co-owner of the Buffalo Bills, Kim Pegula. Thankfully, she is now on a great path of recovery. Now, she doesn’t want her daughter to coddle her, but focus on her game. After the previous update, Jessica Pegula recently talked about how her mother’s health had improved quite a bit.

Her mother recently returned to a training camp of the NFL team which sent followers of the team into a frenzy. In Washington for the Citi Open, Jessica provided an update on her mother’s improving health. Along with her happiness for her mother, she was glad about the next step for her family.

No, it’s been amazing. I think it’s kind of the next step for us as a family is how much this year she wants to be around all the action and the games and stuff like that.”

She further said, “I mean, I know she does, but it’s almost like if we’re ready for that to happen, but I think it’s baby steps and she’s there now, which is great. I haven’t been able to talk to her yet but my dad, yeah, said she was very happy to be there.”

This comes as great news for the team members of the Buffalo Bills and the Pegula family. Prior to her return to her daily activities, she pushed her daughter to improve her on-court skills.
