Recently, Justine Henin, the 41-year-old former Belgium tennis player, after Sabalenka’s victory opened up about how this win has put her on level with her tennis rival, Swiatek. Let’s take a look at what the seven-time champion has to say about the two tennis rivals of the current generation.

After having a year full of finals, semi-finals, and achieving Grand Slam titles, the 25-year-old has become one of the most prominent tennis players in the current tennis generation. Recently, the 41-year-old former world number one, in a conversation with Eurosport, highlighted how her victories and performances have made her second to none.

She said, “Sabalenka has been Swiatek’s main rival for a while now, ever since she won the Australian Open last year. We felt a hierarchy had been established. Today, she’s going for another title, it’s written all over her, it’s another line in her record. That’s a lot of confidence and it’s impressive because Sabalenka has come a long way in terms of emotional management and even certain aspects of tennis.”

Not only that, she also praised the world’s number-two-ranked tennis player for her unwavering determination and hard work towards her ambition. Further, she also emphasized a fact and stated, “I think that’s a remarkable piece of work over the last two years, and she’s been rewarded for it.”

After achieving a second-round victory in the same tournament against Brenda Fruhvirtova, Andrea Petkovic asked a question in a presser regarding how the champ goes against her opponents: “1st round 6-0 6-1. 2nd round 6-3 6-2. Today 6-0 6-0. Is it fun for you sucking the joy out of other players games?” 

To which, Sabalenka replied, “Well last year Iga won so many sets 6-0. This is one of the goals. Try to get closer to her.” Moreover, her hilarious answer explained that she has kept an eye on her colleague’s performance, keeping a clear sight on her fellow tennis players.
