After releasing his new song ‘Space in My Heart,’ the 48-year-old Spanish singer is in the Maple Country. However, in an interview with PEOPLE, he opened up about how he has to leave his personal fan club, which is his kids, behind at home.

He stated, “When I go on the road, I miss them a lot. I feel like they’re still not old enough to go on the road with me. I like quiet and to be in my zone before I go on stage. I don’t like a lot of craziness going on backstage. It’s the complete opposite of Almost Famous.”

As a father of three children, it’s not easy for Iglesias to leave them behind while being away for so many days, but he also emphasized the fact that they are quite young to be a part of the tour. Along with that, the singer also highlighted that he prefers to keep a calm environment before setting the stage on fire with his music, while his wife and kids support him from a distance.

Iglesias stated, “When I pick them up from school and they’re having a bad day or one of them is crying or they’re fighting, we say, ‘Guys, what’s your favorite song?’ And then one breaks out into ‘I Like It,’ and then they all start singing it, and it’s so cute.”
