Williams ensures that her voice and influence go beyond her successful tennis career. In the video collab with Gucci, she said, ” I grew up in a house full of women. So there is six women in our house and one man.  There has been a few strides made towards gender equality, it’s quite interesting to think it’s 2023. We are doing better than 10, 20, 30 years ago but there are still giant gaps.

The American tennis ace also explained, “..the changes we would like to see for girls and women in my lifetime is just respect. If we just had a general more respect for women lots more doors will be open. My name is Serena Williams and I chime with gender equality.”
