“I don’t know what I’m going to do, I’ve entered a few tournaments but just to give myself the option,” Raducanu said. “I’m not thinking too far ahead about the finals, but if that happens, that would be a bonus.”

As clear-headed as she is, Raducanu is most certainly a threat to make it to the Top 8. But so far, she hasn’t experienced a WTA 1000 event, which might be her only setback.

But above all, the 18-year-old is young and inspired to do well on her debut in the Indian Wells tournament. Let’s see if she can continue her New York fairytale in California.

Who will Raducanu play in Indian Wells 2021?

Notably, Raducanu received a wild card to compete in tennis paradise. Moreover, as 17th seed, she got a direct bye into the second round in BNP Paribas Open.

And so, in the second round, Raducanu will face World No.100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich. Potentially, in the third round, the 18-year-old could meet two-time Grand Slam champion Simona Halep.

Hence, the real tour-level test is ready for the teenage sensation in Indian Wells. The only question is: Will she remain unfazed and keep toppling her opponents with clean and concise hitting? Only time will tell us.
