US Open 2021 champion Emma Raducanu recently lost to Marta Kostyuk in the second round of the Transylvania Open 2021. The final scoreline of the match was 6-2, 6-1. Even though she suffered a defeat at the tournament, she still has more wins than many other big players in the 2021 season including Serena Williams.

With her recent defeat, Emma Raducanu has reduced her chances of qualifying for the WTA Finals 2021. It will be intriguing to see how she performs in the her next tournament.

Annabel Croft compares Emma Raducanu to Venus and Serena Williams
While commentating during Raducanu’s recent match against Kostyuk, former British No.1 Annabel Croft drew a parallel between her and Venus and Serena Williams. She pointed out that just like the Williams’ sisters, Raducanu too didn’t play any junior tournaments but has been playing brilliantly on the court at such a young age.

“She sort of has memories of how Richard Williams brought his two Williams sisters, Venus and Serena, onto tour. Because they didn’t really play junior tournaments, did they? And they did everything differently, not by the book,” said Croft during the commentary.
