Williams sisters Serena and Venus are two of the best-ever tennis players of all time. The two have achieved some fascinating milestones in their career that have spanned over two-decades-long. However, the sisters are both out of action for a long time now. There were rumors regarding their retirement, but the two quashed it all.

While the two assured of a comeback, nothing was clear until earlier this week. Serena announced her plans to play in the upcoming Wimbledon championship. While it was a surprise gift for Serena’s fans, the one person who knew about it all the time and kept it secret was none other than her sister and fellow tennis player Venus Williams.

Venus on keeping Serena Williams’ return a secret

While the entire world was busy speculating about the return of Serena Williams, Venus knew about her plans. Speaking about it in an interview, the 41-year-old revealed that she found it extremely hard to keep it secret for such a long time.

“I’ve been keeping the secret for a long time and I’m just glad it’s out. People say I’ve heard and you say I don’t know, you feel like you are lying. She hasn’t played in a year, I haven’t played any year. It’s going to be great to see her back in action,” she said.
