Big things were expected from Emma Raducanu as she stunned the tennis world by winning the 2021 US Open. Entering the tournament as a qualifier, she didn’t lose a set en route to winning the title. However, the British star’s form has dipped since winning her maiden Grand Slam title. Additionally, injuries have affected Raducanu this year. As she remains on the verge of making a comeback, former British Number 1 player, Tim Henman expects big things from her.

Raducanu suffered a twin injury setback earlier this year, as it required surgeries on her hand and ankle. Nonetheless, she’s almost recovered from the disaster, posting cryptic news about her comeback on social media. Here’s what Henman said about Raducanu’s future.

Talking about Raducanu’s return, Henman said, “If she plays 22, 23 tournaments next year, that would be a great achievement, because the only way you’re going to do that is if you’re fit and healthy.”

Further, he went on to add, “If she’s fit and healthy, the results will come. She’s that good a player. She’s too good not to win matches.” The British legend also felt that Raducanu is playing catch-up because of no real physical foundation owing to Covid and her surprise US Open win.

After being out for more than four months, Raducanu has returned to the gym for light physical training sessions. Further, she also dropped an update regarding her comeback tournament.
