Troubled by the ‘DISGUSTING’ Coverage of the LGBTQ Community, Serena Williams’ Former Coach Takes a Brutal Dig at a Prominent American Media House

After retiring in 2011, iconic doubles player Rennae Stubbs branched out to become a tennis commentator, a podcast host and also started to share her expertise and experience as a coach. Stubbs’ most high-profile coaching role came ahead of 2022 US Open, as she joined Serena Williams‘ team to help her win her 24th singles Grand Slam title. Unfortunately, Williams couldn’t add to her 23 Grand Slam titles. However, Stubbs’ presence in Williams’ team propelled her to new heights of popularity. Since then, Stubbs has used her fame to be more vocal not just about tennis, but also about various social causes. For instance, she has gone on to lend her support to the LGBTQI community on multiple occasions. Stubbs came out as lesbian in 2006 and right now, she identifies as a member of the LGBTQI community.

Recently, Stubbs tuned into Fox News to catch up with the American media powerhouse’s latest news coverage. However, what Stubbs saw left her disgusted, and she took to Twitter to lash out at the media house.

Over recent years, Fox News has come under fire time and time again for its often-controversial coverage of various sociopolitical issues. Yet again, the media house decided to play with fire as it covered the LGBTQI community in a derogatory manner.

Stubbs caught a little glimpse of Fox News’ coverage and her backlash on Twitter turned out to be fierce. In her tweet, Stubbs wrote, “Switched over to @FoxNews for a minute to see what they were talking about & the vitriol towards the LGBTQI community was absolutely DISGUSTING!!”

Stubbs didn’t stop there. Her rage was evident as she continued her rant against Fox News. “Honestly I am so offended with what was said, it’s outrageous!” Stubbs concluded her rant saying, “Complete discrimination in the open towards the LGBTQI community!”

Rennae Stubbs isn’t just a member of the LGBTQI community, she’s a staunch feminist as well

In December last year, Rennae Stubbs unleashed the staunch feminist in her. At the time, Stubbs was responding to Stefanos Tsitsipas. In a tweet, Tsitsipas wrote what he felt regarding modern feminism. However, Stubbs failed to get where Tsitsipas was coming from. As a result, she let rip at Tsitsipas.

Stubbs hit back at Tsitsipas and attacked him for not having any understanding of women’s realities around the world. She condemned Tsitsipas for his controversial tweets in the past. It’s fair to say that Rennae Stubbs is a woman you wouldn’t want to mess with.
