Serena Williams has had many memorable moments in her tennis career. From winning her maiden Grand Slam title in 1999 to making a comeback recently, the American legend has seen it all. One of the life-changing years for Serena was in 2017.

The former World Number 1 was gearing up for the Australian Open that year. However, shortly before the start of the tournament, she found out that she is expecting her first child. Not only did Serena go on to play in the tournament but also won the title after defeating her elder sister, Venus Williams in the finals.

Serena took a break from tennis subsequently and gave birth to her daughter, Olympia. She also tied the knot with Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian in the same year. Her husband once revealed his wish of having a movie created on their life.

Alexis Ohanian once took to Twitter to reveal his wish for a movie created on his life. Talking about this, he said, “Ok – who’s getting cast? I want to be played by @TheRock. Serena should star in it as herself… Until the love scenes where I’ll fill in for Dwayne.”  

Additionally, he also went on to say, “My friend @Schwarzenegger – can you play an older version of me sent back in time to protect @olympiaohanian??”

In the next week’s National Bank Open in Toronto, the 23-time Grand Slam will open her campaign against a qualifier. If she manages to win her opening round match, she will face the winner of the match between Belinda Bencic and Victoria Azarenka.
