To start, it was taken immediately after the Worlds End PPV, the last PPV by AEW of 2023 that culminated with a shocking ending. After months of drama surrounding the Devil, AEW lifted curtains on the big mystery, revealing it was Adam Cole all along.

With the revelations, Cole has not only shattered his friendship with former AEW World Champion, MJF (yes, you heard it right) but also marked the end of his face run. He is now the head of the biggest heel faction in AEW.

Not only did Cole turn on AEW fans, but he also cost MJF the World title during his match against Samoa Joe at the main event. It was revealed a few days ago that Joe had the support of the Devil after the Devil’s henchmen attacked MJF. But, given Adam Cole’s struggles and despair to win the World title, it makes sense that he was the man behind the mask.

The revelation brings a complete end to the story and a befitting end to the year as we head towards a new start, a new chapter.
