As for WWE, sources from the company have confirmed to Fightful that there were conversations with Okada and several talents on the roster have assured that the wrestler was weighing the pros and cons of signing with one company or another. In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Bryan Danielson was asked about the possibility of Kazuchika Okada, whom he has faced on several occasions over the past few years, joining AEW. Danielson stated that he would be delighted if that were the case and expressed confidence that it would happen. He said, “Of course I want him to come to AEW. Fans all over the world know how great Okada is. Both WWE and AEW are major players, but I hope he comes to AEW.”

He further added, “If he goes to WWE, they might make him start with NXT like Shinsuke to adapt to the American style, but that is not necessary for Okada who is already complete. He is one of the best wrestlers in the world at this point, so he can come to the U.S. without changing anything.” Well, it looks like Danielson might actually get to fight against the ‘Rainmaker’ again and we all know the level of competition the signing will bring to the promotion.
