Kenny Omega is one of the most decorated wrestlers in AEW and the world. Not only will he face Jon Moxley for the AEW World title, but he is also the current AAA Mega Champion in Lucha Libre. Apart from this, he is also the Executive Vice President (EVP) of AEW.

From all these achievements, it is obvious that Omega has a lot of accolades under his name. Recently, in a Forbes interview, he was asked who his ‘dream opponent’ outside AEW will be. “The Best Bout Machine” threw in some names from WWE.

Firstly, he named AJ Styles. They were together in New Japan Pro Wrestling where Omega and Styles were part of the infamous Bullet Club. The former took over the leadership of the group after they turned on Styles.

“AJ [Styles] and I worked together in New Japan. He saved me in a lot of ways when I was thinking about possibly getting out of wrestling,” said Omega. “He was there for me to help point me in the right direction, and I think he would be a great opponent.”

Apart from the ‘Phenomenal One,’ Omega praised The New Day and Seth Rollins as well. He noted how he and Rollins are often compared with each other.

Kenny Omega wants what’s best for the fans

With a career of almost two decades and multiple championships at multiple promotions, Kenny Omega understands what is best for business. To him, the fans matter more than who he is fighting.

“I just want to work with good people—not good people in the sense that they’re only talented in the ring, but people who are genuinely good dudes who the fans would want to see me wrestle.

“At the end of the day, I’d just want to wrestle the opponents who would make fans the most excited because that’s really what it’s all about,” said the EVP of AEW.

Ahead of his title match, Omega has already held the AEW Tag titles with Adam Page. They lost it to FTR at AEW All Out. He then embarked upon singles competition and defeated Sonny Kiss, Penta El Zero M, and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page to become the new contender.
