During one episode of WWE Raw back in 2010, the NXT superstars, which included Bryan Danielson, attacked Roberts. It was also the first season of the developmental brand of WWE.

It was during that segment that their infamous “tie choke” moment took place. Roberts was strangled with his own tie by Bryan. However, Bryan had to pay a price for it as well. WWE released Bryan soon after this incident, as they felt it was too violent for their TV-PG programming. But WWE rehired him two months later.

Bryan Danielson advanced to the final of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, following his win over Eddie Kingston. In the previous round, Bryan defeated Dustin Rhodes in a hard-fought match. Following this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan finally got to know whom he will face in the final.

His opponent in the final will be none other than the former WWE superstar, Miro (previously known as Rusev in WWE). The former WWE superstar replaced Jon Moxley to take on Orange Cassidy in the semifinals of the tournament.

After putting up an impressive fight, Miro defeated Cassidy to qualify for the final match against Bryan Danielson. However, this won’t be the first that the two will come face-to-face in the squared ring. The two superstars previously battled each other in WWE for a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Much to the surprise of the fans, it was Miro who got the better of Bryan in that match. Thus, Bryan will surely have revenge on his mind when they face each other at the AEW Full Gear PPV. Whatever the result might be, one thing is for sure that the AEW fans will be in for one hell of a match on that night.
