After a brief argument last week on Dynamite, Inner Circle leader, Chris Jericho, suggested a Triple Threat Tag Team match between the Inner Circle to decide who the official tag team of the faction will be.
The teams were Chris Jericho and MJF w/Wardlow, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara, and Santana and Ortiz. All three teams fought hard in the main event of Dynamite this week, but Jericho and MJF prevailed thanks to a handful of tights.

This victory for Chris Jericho and MJF means they will officially represent the Inner Circle in the tag team competition. Who knows, maybe they’ll even challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
The match between the three teams definitely had high expectations, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. It looked like a sloppy main event if we compare Dynamite main events in the past.
Not just that, but they also had to overrun as the match hadn’t ended. The show went off the air immediately after MJF got the pinfall.

Santana and Ortiz were the Inner Circle’s tag team when the faction debuted. Some even questioned why the Tag Team challenge was happening, and we might have an answer.
Jericho mentioned on Keepin It 100 With Konnan a few months ago that there is a well thought out plan for him and Maxwell; MJF’s inclusion in the Inner Circle was just the start. Keeping these statements in mind, we could very well see Jericho and MJF next in line for the Tag Team Championship.

What can happen from here on is they win the titles and keep them for a couple of months before MJF turns on ‘Le Champion.’ They can also begin an extended program with each other without winning the titles. Even a failed title shot is enough for MJF to sneak attack Jericho.
