AEW’s Kenny Omega or WWE’s Roman Reigns? There can only be one pro-wrestler at the top. And, according to reports, this time it’s Kenny Omega.

As per PWInsisder, the AEW World Champion is better than everyone else in the industry, including The Tribal Chief. Now, Chris Jericho has come forward to explain why that is the case.

Chris Jericho and PWI editor Kevin McElvaney had a conversation about PWI’s list on Talk is Jericho. According to Jericho, Roman Reigns maybe could have been number one, but Omega did work more matches than Reigns.

“I don’t think Roman had as many great matches as Kenny did. Just by proxy of what WWE is and what AEW is and like you said, combine that with what he is doing in Mexico and The Impact stuff. And that’s kind of Kenny’s gimmick. And Roman might have a little bit more on the character department where Kenny has really pulled that up as well with Don Callis. So to me, I think you picked it right. Kenny is number one and I think Roman is number two.” H/t Talk Is Jericho

Undoubtedly, Omega has been one of the names that have been mentioned on podcasts, interviews, and other occasions more than others. Apart from working more matches, Omega’s in-ring performances gathered higher ratings than that of Reigns’. An example of the same is Omega vs Danielson for the AEW World Championship.

Even Dave Meltzer gave it a five star rating. Something John Cena hasn’t been able to achieve yet!
