Cody Rhodes is headed to the main event of WrestleMania 39, but he still has a lot on his plate outside of WWE. Apart from being a wrestler, ‘The American Nightmare’ also has a wrestling school. Moreover, he was also one of the pillars to build AEW from its core to what it is today. Rhodes has helped several stars over the years for their careers to take off. However, it seems all is not well with Rhodes. The 37-year-old recently made a big revelation about the same.
A few days ago, The American Nightmare appeared on the Good Karma Wrestling podcast. There, he claimed, several people have forgotten him and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, whom they once helped.

Rhodes said, “You give to them and one thing I’ve learned as a coach and such and even my role within management, give without expecting anything back. There are people who I hired and my wife hired that don’t even remember us anymore and that’s okay. You give without expecting to get back.”
The former Intercontinental Champion’s involvement in AEW made many wrestlers join the company. Moreover, he also revealed that QT Marshall and Matt Cardona were his close friends. However, he talked about having “no good karma with Matt Cardona at the moment.”
Cody Rhodes has an eye on two AEW wrestlers
In the same interview, he revealed watching AEW for two particular young wrestlers- Julia Hart and Lee Johnson. It seems he is very much impressed by the performance of these two stars.

Rhodes said, “I’m very proud of Julia (Hart) because Julia came from the Nightmare Factory camps. So that’s like the question that anybody’s gonna ask, hey, how’s your school? Has anyone done anything? And we can name a few people who had experience already. But really she came from camp two, did the thing with the Varsity Blonds.”

The former AEW star added, “But she just took advantage of every opportunity she found. She was just hitting home runs and even maximizing her minutes and even small segments, big segments, whatever it might be. Just very proud. I keep an eye on her and Lee (Johnson) from a distance.”
Like WWE is to Vince McMahon, AEW is the same to Cody Rhodes, i.e. his baby. The former TNT champion returned to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38. Since then, his stock has increased in the Stamford company, but he still has his eye on Tony Khan’s promotion.
