Ricochet has reportedly drawn curtains on a fruitful stint in the WWE. The wrestler is set to be a free agent as he tries to finalize a decision about his future in the industry. There have been numerous speculations about where Ricochet may turn up next. Fightful Wrestling provided new updates on the situation.

The acrobatic wrestler is now out in a sea of opportunities. Speculation ran rampant that the Raw star had informed the Stamford-based company about his desire to leave the promotion for pastures anew. However, that may not be the final verdict on his future in WWE.

While talking on the latest edition of the podcast, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp via superchat on YouTube about Ricochet’s contract situation. The fan in question enquired where he may end up. This is when the reporter revealed that the wrestler had not issued an official confirmation to leave his last workplace. The host reported that there is a 90-95% chance that Ricochet will leave WWE. Moreover, the promotion has already assumed the wrestler’s choice and stripped the Speed title off him. Sapp said, “They [WWE] could step in and say ‘You know what? We really, really need to make a deal work with him and then it could work.’ But all indications from WWE and AEW is they believe that he’s headed to AEW.

In order to keep Ricochet on the main roster, WWE would have to raise the offer. Social media has engaged in key discussions about how his career could fare better if he signs with AEW. Moreover, Tony Khan was also deemed to be secretly interested in offering Ricochet a paycheck.

The former WWE Speed Champion lost his title a few days before his contract ended. This was a sign that WWE assumed that the wrestler was leaving and planned the storyline accordingly. With this in mind, Fightful also discussed how the President of AEW would be interested in Ricochet when he walks out of WWE. As of now, there have reportedly been no decisions made regarding his future, but Sean Ross believes that Tony Khan would have a keen eye out for Ricochet. This could result in the wrestler getting a lucrative offer for his potential run in AEW.
