All Elite Women’s World Champion Britt Baker is one of the most popular women’s wrestlers in the industry. Before becoming the top women’s superstar in AEW, she was once a WWE superstar.

Speaking with Renee Paquette and Miesha Tate on “Throwing Down“, Baker disclosed that WWE had an interest in signing her. She said WWE, via Adam Cole, had let her known that they were interested in her.

Can you imagine if Britt Baker D.M.D. were to be in WWE at the moment? The feuds would certainly have been unreal.

“It’s no secret, [Adam] has already said it. That cat is out of the bag and I’m not going to get in trouble. WWE was definitely poking the bear a little bit through him recently when I was still with AEW. ‘Hey, we’re interested in her,’ without teetering the line of contract tampering.”

“They definitely let me know that they had interest in me, but it wasn’t a mutual thing. I’m very happy with AEW and thankful for the opportunities, and this is where I want to stay,” said Britt.

After a missed opportunity with Baker, letting Adam Cole go was another big mistake the WWE made. And the WWE Universe is still unhappy with the WWE management for letting fan favorite superstars go.

On the other hand, AEW is capitalizing on the same thing. By signing huge names like Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, and Adam Cole, AEW has capitalized on WWE’s mistakes.

Ruby Soho owned Britt Baker ahead of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

Before Soho lost to Baker at Rampage Grand Slam, she owned the AEW Women’s Champion with a Rated-R Adam Cole reference. As a buildup for their match, both women got into a heated mic confrontation.

Soho stated that Baker was like any other wrestler she and even suggested that Baker was self-centered and entitled.

However, Baker made Soho eat her words as she came out of the ring as the reigning champion once again. Baker is one of the best at what she does and therefore it comes as no surprise that the WWE wanted to sign the superstar.
