Drew McIntyre on WWE Firing Jeff Hardy: “I Just Want Him to Be Healthy”

Everything seemed well for the former WWE champion Jeff Hardy. However, recently, WWE shockingly released the tag team genius over one incident, which is still bizarre to watch.

On a live show, Jeff Hardy was in a match with The Bloodline, and the younger Hardy teamed with Drew McIntyre and Xavier Woods. Midway into the match, Hardy tagged himself out and left the building. Soon after this incident, he was fired from the company.

Former WWE champion Drew McIntyre recently talked about his feelings for the Charismatic Enigma, and he had nothing but well wishes for Jeff Hardy.

Drew McIntyre is happy because of Jeff Hardy

The Scottish superstar sat down for an interview with DAZN, where he discussed everything wrestling. Inevitably, McIntyre was asked the bizarre situation about what happened with Hardy.

Witnessing it firsthand, McIntyre revealed that the internet tends to blast things “out of proportion”. He further added that he just wants Hardy to be safe and happy, and as long as he is happy, McIntyre is happy.

“For one, as usual, the internet can take something and blow out of proportion. But all I’ll say on the matter is I just want what’s best for Jeff and for him to be healthy. As long as he’s good, as long as he’s healthy, as long as he’s happy with his family, then Drew McIntyre is happy.” he said.

It is not that Jeff has gone AWOL since his WWE release. He has made public appearances and is quite active on his social media.

However, one thing with Matt Hardy happened when EssentiallySports asked the elder Hardy about a possible reunion of The Hardy Boyz in AEW, a thing which he never denied.

Things seem under control as Matt Hardy revealed that Jeff doesn’t need to go to rehab. Eventually, the fans are waiting to see what is the next move of the Charismatic Enigma.
