2009 witnessed one of the best and most unique feuds in pro wrestling history. After the Hart brothers, The Hardy Boyz found themselves at odds against each other and thus engaged in a sibling rivalry. And it was no normal feud, as it contained betrayal, several high-intensity matches, and the incorporation of a real-life tragedy into the storyline. The duo engaged in some vicious battles, including their blockbuster matchup at WrestleMania 25 and the infamous ‘I Quit’ match at Backlash in the following month. History could repeat itself as murmurs of a brother-to-brother clash involving The Hardy Brothers have surfaced.

Taking to his Instagram, Matt Hardy shared a clip of his promo from 15 years ago. The promo he delivered was a perfect example of WWE pushing its limits. Back then, a real-life incident occurred where Jeff Hardy’s house caught fire, and unfortunately, he lost his dog named Jack in the accident. It’s important to note that Matt Hardy took credit for disrupting Jeff Hardy’s personal life by causing accidents like this alongside others. In the said promo, Matt Hardy tries to instigate his brother by recalling his pet’s death while petting one of the same breed. r But why share this now? Well, this could surely be related to their rumored WrestleMania return.

The WWE recently mentioned the Hardy Brothers, despite them not being a part of the promotion anymore. While delivering the hype for the match between the Usos, the commentary team recalled that the other two sibling matches in WWE history have been the matches between the Hart brothers and the Hardy Boyz. And the promo featuring the dog played a pivotal part in the buildup to WrestleMania 25, where Matt Hardy emerged victorious. Also, how can we forget the AEW star’s recent appearance on Raw?

Hardy witnesses Raw live as speculation continues to mount over WWE switch

Matt Hardy and his wife, Reby Hardy, recently watched an episode of Monday Night RAW live from the PNC Arena. Considering that Hardy’s contract with AEW expires this month, rumors about a possible reunion with WWE began to surface. And now the AEW star has shared this promo out of nowhere.

On their recent visit, Fightful Select reported that Reby and Matt Hardy were invited by a friend of Reby’s to his suite at the PNC Arena to watch WWE RAW. They both watched the show for approximately 90 minutes. Matt Hardy continues to be in talks with AEW to see if they can come to a renewal agreement, but let’s not forget that Hardy hasn’t been a protagonist in AEW’s programming for months now.

Although he also has other occupations, such as his podcast with Jon Alba, we’ll see if Hardy continues with All Elite Wrestling or if his time with the company is over after four years.
