Bubba Dudley says this AEW star can become future Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

Recently on the Sirius XM Busted Open Podcast there was “The Master’s Class” superstar draft between the host’s Dave LaGreca, Mark Henry, Bully Ray, and Tommy Dreamer. Each host had to pick a male, female, tag team, and young wrestler that they would want if they were starting their own wrestling territory.

When Bubba Ray Dudley’s turn came to choose, he had a few names in his mind of superstars like Austin Theory, Hook, and MJF. However, he was adamant with AEW star MJF saying he can become the next The Rock on the mic.

Dudley said, “MJF is the guy for me. He is a younger talent who we all know. The sky is absolute (limit) like who knows what MJF (could accomplish). If anybody could ever challenge what The Rock was able to accomplish on microphone, I think it’s MJF.”

He added, “I think in time, seasoning, right people to stand at across for him, right people to help tighten his screws, MJF can become the next Rock on the microphone.”

Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been nothing but just exceptional since he made his debut on AEW. The platform has given him a huge opportunity to showcase his skills as a talker on the mic and perform as a heel on the show.

He further continued, “Do I think Roddy Piper is the only person that could go toe-to-toe with me on the stick in the history of professional wrestling? The answer’s yes. Was the man absolutely insane, and do I think we would have a barbaric match as well that would stand the test of time? Yes.”
