Over the years, there have been many wrestlers who have broken through the squared circle and made a name for themselves on the silver screen. CM Punk, John Cena, and Dave Bautista are some names who made it big in the film industry.
All these wrestling superstars are well loved by the fans. However, CM Punk thinks that while John Cena is more adept at doing comedy and Dave Bautista is well versed in every field.
Talking to “ETCanada” Punk also revealed that wrestlers are also like theatre actors since they too have to do things on the fly.

“One hundred per cent [I’m impressed], but I’m also not surprised,” Punk said. “I think a lot of people conflate the two. You see a guy like Dave Bautista killing it with this myriad of different roles. Dave can do comedy, Dave can do drama, he can do it all. Cena has always been that funny guy.
“I always thought behind the scenes, and I think anybody who has worked with him always thought. A lot of the guys at that top-level in WWE may not want to admit it, but alls we are are theatre actors.”
Even though Punk feels Cena is just a comedy actor, we don’t really agree with him. Cena has done enough different roles to justify himself as a versatile actor.

But when it was time to cut his promo, he changed his words. We cannot fathom any other superstar doing what he did, that too back then. Punk isn’t a half-bad actor himself if he could get one over Vince McMahon. What are your thoughts on the matter? Comment and let us know!
